Each year, HAVEN attracts several hundred of the top blogging and social media influencers in the DIY and design niches. At our conference, attendees can expect two and a half days of valuable business insight, forging connections with others in their influencer space, and networking with top national brands.
HAVEN 2019 proved to be no different. Along with the return of some of our most cherished brands like The Home Depot, we welcomed new brands to the conference, such as Sinkology. Here’s a look at the Haven 2019 booth activations.
The Home Depot
The Home Depot believed in the power of the DIY design community and the vision of HAVEN Conference from the very start. Each year, they bring a tremendous amount of creativity, energy and friendliness that helps make HAVEN a truly special experience.
As we have come to expect, the HAVEN 2019 Home Depot booth was an attractive piece that overflowed with creativity and talented design, and evoked feelings of comfort and relaxation.
Among its memorable designs was a photo booth with a bed as a backdrop, to which we’re sure created many fun memories for our attendees. Each one of our Mavens were also thrilled to discover that The Home Depot created personalized hand towels for each one of them!
The Orange Tank also returned this year, and the 12 finalists who presented their design pitches on Friday showcased a wide array of creative talent. Cara Newhart of Never Skip Brunch, Brittany Norman of Ellison Made, Kristen Johnson of A Girl and Her Glitter, and Gbeke Oladunjoye-Omosebi of Simplicity For Designs won in the various prize tiers.
The Home Depot is the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, with over 2,200 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces, Mexico and China.
Behr
The Behr Haven 2019 booth was so warm and inviting! Attendees were treated to a relaxed, outdoors atmosphere and were able to sit and paint wood coasters that they could take home.
Behr is one of the largest suppliers of architectural paint and exterior wood care products to U.S. and Canadian DIY-ers. Behr manufacturs paints, decorative finishes, primers, stains, and surface preparation products.
QUIKRETE
Our wonderful friends at QUIKRETE made a long-lasting impression with our HAVEN Mavens at their booth and their Mixing It Up With QUIKRETE session on Saturday. Makers and DIY-ers love to work with concrete because the creative possibilities are truly endless.
This fact was on display at the QUIKRETE booth in spectacular fashion in the form of the QUIKRETE Concrete Casting Call, where three finalists had the amazing opportunity to win a $10,000 content development and endorsement contract.
During the Haven 2019 Mixing It Up With QUIKRETE session, the finalists were able to explain the creative process of their projects in-depth, and attendees were able to glean additional insights from top designer and maker Ben Uyeda.
The three entry projects showcased a superlative level of creativity. Brittany Norman of Ellison Made took home the grand prize for her wood and concrete sensory play table. Congrats Brittany! We look forward to seeing the collaborations from your new partnership with QUIKRETE.

Amy Howard Home
The gorgeous Amy Howard Home booth featured make-and-take DIY projects for Mavens to create and take home.
For the last 20 years, Amy Howard Home grew from leading the interior design market by restoring and building luxury home furnishings, to providing makers with a distinguished class of artisan-quality paint products and training.
Sinkology
It was an awesome concept… at Haven 2019, Sinkology featured a variety of their farmhouse sinks and various brand faucets, and attendees could mix and match them in their interactive kitchen booth. They also spoke about how to get involved with their incredible Sinkology Cares Giveback Program.
At Sinkology, they are on a mission to make unique, high-quality kitchen, bath and home décor products that inspire real people to find beauty in their homes and lives.
Wagner
Attendees were able to try out some sweet tools that were featured at the Wagner booth.
In addition to trying out a few of their paint sprayers from within the awesome Wagner spray tent, Mavens used a Scorch pen and a Wagner heat gun to create decorative scorch marks into slabs of birch wood at Haven 2019.
Those slabs were just another one of the many wonderful make-and-take projects that attendees could take back home with them.
Judging by the many smiling faces that left the Wagner booth during the conference, it seems our Mavens were pleased with their Wagner experience!
